Position: Security Guard<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terms of Duration: 6 months (possible extension)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reporting Line: Admin\/Finance Manager<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organization Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Network for Positive Change -YOUNETPO is registered and accredited youth led civil society organization with over 8 years of evidence-based work in youth peacebuilding, human rights and citizens access to justice, HIV\/AIDs care, prevention and treatment services, climate change, youth capacity development and civic engagements. Since its establishment in 2014, YOUNETPO has initiated several programs to empower women and girls through capacity building initiatives and leadership programs, advocate for women and girls\u2019 rights and access to education, fostered political accountability to make elected leaders more accountable, promote HIV\/AIDs prevention, care and treatment using a peer-to-peer approach. These programs and projects have benefited over 10,000 Youths between the ages of 10-35 years; we have successfully implemented projects and programs in Montserrado, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Gbarpolu, Bong and Nimba Counties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Executive Summery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Security Guard is responsible keeping watch of the office compound and including YOUNETPO asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A. To ensure physical integrity and safety of the Youth Network for Positive Change-YOUNETPO premises and assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B. To screen, control of all arriving visitors\/staff\/vehicles as per YOUNETPO\u2019s standards<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C. To verify that the persons entering the office premises is either staff possessing valid ID card\/badge, or visitors having an appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D. Visitors to be screened and logged in the \u201cVisitors Log Book\u201d and issued \u201cVisitor Pass\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E. To check the visitors\/visitor\u2019s luggage, if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F. To Monitor and log all the movements of the office property and vehicles in and out of the premises<\/p>\n\n\n\n

G. To inform immediately responsible supervisor, relevant local authorities in case of emergency relating to the office premises such as interference, crowd, fire etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H. To receive the incoming document with observance of the safety measures. Each package and parcel received should be carefully examined and inform immediately to the staff member concerned on the arrival of package or parcel especially during weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I. Immediately inform responsible officials or local police of unattended vehicles\/suspicious or emergency events in the vicinity of the office Premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J. Ensure that all rooms are closed and locked, electricity switched off, no water leakage after office hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

K. To leave the place of duty only with a permission of the supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L. To be polite and attentive with the visitors and while responding to the telephone calls. To inform immediately the relevant officials of any important security related messages received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7- 1-3 years of job experience in similar role\/position<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– At least a Junior high or High School Graduate<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Must be willing to work both on night or day shifts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
